History:  The Southern Ohio Dog and Game Protective Association (“the club”) was incorporated in 1931.  The basis for the formation of the club was the protection of game dogs and a parallel interest in conservation of wild game and aquatic life.

The initial members of the club were dog owners, hunters, farmers, anglers, professionals, skilled trades, etc.   In short, a broad cross section of the population of the Southern Ohio area and that tradition continues.

Our Creed:   Conservation, Reforestation, Head Water Lakes, Propagation and Liberation of Wild Game and Aquatic Life. Elimination of Stream Pollution. Teach and Practice Good Sportsmanship at all times.

THE STAG PICNIC GUN RAFFLE

Have we got a great STAG PICNIC GUN RAFFLE for you this year?  Another set of fine guns but this year also offers a twist.  We have a first ever offering of a 42” LG Big Screen LCD TV.  Who wouldn’t want this in their family, game room or man cave?

Once again this year we have the ever-popular Kimber Custom II .45 ACP.  Standard features ensure the kind of accuracy and dependability that made Kimber the most popular 1911 brand in the world.  Our second gun offering is a Smith & Wesson .380 cal. Body Guard that makes for a perfect conceal carry weapon.

Both of these guns are very dependable and desirable and manufactured by two of the finest firearms companies out there today.  Anyone would love either of these guns for their collection. Both guns will be offered as a pick of the litter drawing.  First drawn gets his pick, and second drawn gets whichever weapon is left.  The TV will be a separate drawing entirely.

STAG GUN/TV RAFFLE UP-DATE

This years sales contest, that offers not one, but two $100.00 cash prizes, for selling either gun or TV raffle tickets is being passed up by many members. A check of the stubs turned in thus far indicates that many members have failed to put their membership number on the back of the stubs that they have either sold or purchased for themselves.

As indicated in the letter, a $100.00 cash prize will be awarded at the May meeting and again at the June meeting by drawing a stub from a hopper and awarding the prize to the person whose membership  number is on the back of the stub—no number, no prize. (All stubs will of course go back in for the grand prize gun and TV drawing at the Stag.)

Don't miss an opportunity to not only help our club by selling or buying the raffle tickets, but possibly pick up a $100.00 for yourself in the process.

If you need more tickets contact: Greg Bunke at 812-637-2719 or Gary Griffis at 347-7240 or Jerry Levin at 245-1115.      Make checks payable to, and return to S.O.D.G.P.A. 10630 East Miami River Road, Cincinnati, OH 45252

So don’t miss your chance to become a winner by simply purchasing or selling the enclosed tickets and return the stubs. Be an even bigger winner by helping your club sell additional tickets to your friends, family and co-workers. The prices remain the same as last year $2.00 each or 6 for $8.00.
